North Korean defector groups are beginning to play a pivotal role in unification efforts alongside civic and government groups as was reported by The Korea Times in coverage of the 79th Liberation Day Unification Implementation Resolution Rally for Action for Korea United.
The Korea Times published an article about the Korean Dream Unification Action March, which drew roughly 30,000 people near the Demilitarization Zone (DMZ), the border between North and South Korea.
